Aligning co-founder personalities and values to define and develop a cohesive brand identity for a new company.

With a combined 50 years of experience, finance specialists Rohan Reibelt and Stephen Dionysius decided to step away from banking careers to establish their own mortgage and loan business. Despite their expertise, they had no business name, brand, or marketing infrastructure for their new venture.

The Focused Marketing team worked with them to create a modern, approachable identity that reflected their down-to-earth energy. They felt they wanted to stay away from the traditional corporate image often associated with finance businesses, so we embraced that. They also needed a comprehensive marketing strategy to successfully transition their existing clients and set a strong foundation for growth.

Solution

We set to work with Rohan and Steve to bring their vision for Venro Finance to life, crafting a bold visual identity and a digital marketing infrastructure they could primarily manage themselves. Our solution was focused on their customers and supporting referrals, along with simple maintenance.

Our team began with a brand discovery workshop to learn about Stephen and Rohan’s personality, values and aspirations. From there we created Venro – a moniker that blended their names, while being memorable, easy to spell and practical for digital communication.

We developed a complete brand identity that reflected their approachable yet professional ethos. This included designing a cohesive visual style, developing messaging, and building a website optimised for client engagement and referrals. We also established their marketing infrastructure, including Google Business, social media platforms, and automated email campaigns to enhance customer communication and loyalty.

Our holistic approach extended to a change communications piece to launch the new brand and enable a smooth transition for existing clients. Every touchpoint, from business cards to social channels, were carefully aligned to deliver a consistent and impactful brand experience.

Results

Venro Finance launched in June 2022 to an overwhelmingly positive response from their clients and their broader community. The robust brand and strategically managed change communications enabled Venro to kick off with positively transitioned clients while establishing a strong and professional presence in the market.

The logo is unique, versatile and adaptable across all channels while capturing their personality. Strong brand foundations and brand guidelines continue to support consistency, which contributes to brand recognition as the business grows. The customer experience is supported by cohesive messaging for the website that has enabled Rohan, Steve and team to build a thriving referral network.

Setting up strong processes to capture client feedback has contributed to the strength of Venro’s Google Business page, which demonstrates client satisfaction and trust. Their page now has 177 (and growing) five-star reviews, which is a testament to the trust and loyalty they’ve cultivated.

We continue to support Venro with website maintenance, collateral and small projects. The collaborative planning and delivery of the kick off project has enabled them to be largely self-sufficient on the marketing front, which is cost effective in the long run for a small business.
