BRIEF:

HiFlow is an amazing Australian success story. The business was launched in 2007 by Brett Saunders – a Brisbane-based air-conditioning tradesman with exceptional talent and a bucket load of determination. It took Brett less than 10 years to grow HiFlow from a one-man local operation into one of his industry’s leading service providers.

When Focused Marketing was introduced to the business Brett employed more than 100 staff and was busy expanding into every corner of Australia.

Solution:

HiFlow’s new logo needed to be instantly recognisable. It had to communicate the core business proposition while also lending itself to a wide range of marketing channels.

Outcome:

We presented a neutral font, simplified the wording and integrated HiFlow’s most recognisable brand image with a the three-airwave symbol. Placing the symbol inside the letter O described HiFlow’s key area of expertise; controlling air in enclosed spaces.

BRIEF:

WorkHaven is an organisation that implements domestic and family violence (DFV) programs in workplaces to create a culture of zero tolerance towards DFV. WorkHaven’s programs equip victims with the skills to transition out of the DFV environment, and ensure they are receiving adequate support at work.

Focused Marketing was tasked with implementing a complete brand refresh including a style guide and new website.

Solution:

The brand needed to reflect the sensitive nature of their work whilst asserting Workhaven’s expertise and professionalism in the field. DFV can affect anyone, so it was critical that the brand did not make any particular individual or workplace feel excluded. It needed to exude warmth and support bolstered by expertise, data and experience.

A new colour palette was developed featuring bold colours to represent strength and survival, accented by soft, pastel colours to highlight WorkHaven’s caring, sensitive nature. The fonts and logos chosen featured soft, rounded elements to promote feelings of community and support. Each design element was selected with the brand’s mission in mind.

OUTCOME:

We delivered a new website guided by the newly developed brand. The colour palette gives the website a striking first impression without being too loud or confronting. The website features images of the shoes of different types of workers including high heels, steel-cap boots, dress shoes, hospital shoes and the like. These images were selected to demonstrate the importance of implementing DFV policies across all types of workplace; regardless of industry. The use of feet exclusive of faces or other defining features meant that no specific type of individual is not represented in the imagery.

The fresh, clean look and feel of the website delivers WorkHaven’s professionalism and expertise, accented by the soft pastels, gentle typography and rounded brand elements to bring through feelings of warmth and inclusiveness.

BRIEF:

ASM Global is a venue and event management company based in LA, specialising in managing stadiums, convention centres, theatres, and unique venues all around the world.

Focused Marketing was engaged to help ASM Global deliver professional and well designed responses for tender submissions.

Solution:

Focused Marketing developed a look and feel for the tender documents, including a Word template, executive summary document style, folders, slip cases, infographics and general desktop publishing. Final files were supplied in a tender compliant format.

Outcome:

ASM Global loved working with the Focused Marketing team and were thrilled with the designs. The final submission was cohesive, functional and visually appealing, greatly bolstering their chance of success in the bid process.

BRIEF:

Canvas3 is a social justice innovator driving change in the health, justice and education sector, helping Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders to reintegrate into society after being part of the penitentiary system.

They address workforce capability and people solutions through a holistic approach, recognising the role of community and social responsibility in shaping culture and purpose. Their focus areas include the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and diversity sectors, particularly across the key social determinants of health, justice and education.

Focused Marketing was engaged to develop a comprehensive digital marketing strategy for Canvas3 that considered competitor analysis, points of difference, market position, messaging, brand personality, PR, advertising, social media, website and marketing collateral.

Solution:

We relished the opportunity to help Canvas3 define their brand identity and communicate the positive impact they are having in the community.

In the branding and strategy workshops we identified their brand message and provided clarity around messaging. We then tied the brand’s colour palette to the Aboriginal artwork in their logo – painted by one of the founders – and incorporated this design into all marketing assets including business cards, email signature, letter head, PowerPoint presentations and a tender template.

BRIEF:

L&R is a multi-disciplinary consultancy with a reputation for service excellence. In 2017, the company recognised that one of its key sectors was becoming more competitive and that continued growth required a redoubling of its marketing efforts.

Solution:

We were asked to create a suite of new tender templates, supported by clearly defined graphics and striking imagery. But when we started, it soon became obvious that the content within the documents was in need of an overhaul. We began suggesting ways to improve the narrative so that it was easier to digest and told L&R’s story more effectively.

OUTCOME:

The directors welcomed the feedback with open ears and asked us to rewrite the entire submission document from scratch. The output proved highly successful, repositioning L&R as the market leader and capturing the attention of many new clients. The company has used the tender documents to secure lucrative contracts, setting new benchmarks within the sector.
