Challenge

As Brisbane enters a defining era toward 2032, Committee for Brisbane identified the need to evolve its brand.

Committee for Brisbane plays a critical role as an independent, trusted and influential voice shaping the city’s future. As Brisbane entered a defining era, including the lead-up to Brisbane 2032, the organisation recognised that its existing brand no longer reflected the scale of its ambition, influence or contemporary role.

The challenge was to evolve the brand, creating a modern, flexible and future-facing system that clearly communicated credibility, independence and inclusivity, while honouring the organisation’s legacy and long-standing reputation. The new brand needed to resonate across government, business and community audiences, supporting advocacy, collaboration and civic leadership in a rapidly changing city.

Solution

Focused Marketing partnered closely with Committee for Brisbane to deliver a comprehensive rebrand grounded in strategic purpose and civic impact. Through collaborative workshops and insight-led discovery, we clarified the organisation’s values, personality and future role as a connector of people, ideas and influence.

The new visual identity was designed to feel vibrant, confident and optimistic, reflecting Brisbane’s energy and growth. A refined colour palette draws inspiration from the natural environment of Greater Brisbane, balancing freshness with credibility. The brand mark and supporting graphic elements were developed to symbolise connection, dialogue and systems thinking, reinforcing the organisation’s role in uniting sectors and shaping policy.

Comprehensive brand guidelines were created to ensure consistency and flexibility across all touchpoints, empowering Committee for Brisbane, its members and partners to confidently use the brand as a badge of advocacy and impact. We also designed the look and feel of the new website, working closely with their development partner throughout the process.

Results

Committee for Brisbane now has a contemporary, future-focused brand that clearly expresses its leadership, independence and civic ambition.

The refreshed identity strengthens recognition, supports more consistent and effective communications, and enhances the organisation’s ability to advocate with authority and influence. The new brand positions Committee for Brisbane to confidently lead conversations about the city’s liveability, prosperity and future direction, while remaining grounded in its values and trusted role within the community.
